Nashville DJ Diaries | Wedding Weekend March 27th - March 29th

Nashville DJ Diaries | Wedding Weekend March 27th - March 29th

It was another busy wedding weekend for us! Brian and J Clark had a little too much fun in our photo booth, and Brad got to oversee a father of the bride dance off! How exciting. This weekend's weddings were packed full of memorable moments. Enjoy this Monday's edition of Nashville DJ Diaries!

Timeless Wedding Trends | Classic Wedding Songs

Previously we shared our predictions for the Top Wedding Songs of 2015. But, it just wouldn't be right if we didn't acknowledge the timeless love songs that have been anthems at thousands of weddings for many years, even decades. A song has the power to take you back to a different time and place; many of these classic love songs will take you and your guests back to a moment in love. A great wedding incorporates today's hits and  while also adding in some throw backs. We can guarantee that when we press play on any of these classic wedding songs that it'll be an instant crowd pleasing, tear jerking, and heart warming moment.

Nashville DJ Diaries | Wedding Weekend March 20-22nd

It was another huge wedding weekend for the Snyder team! How lucky are we that we get to share these moments with such loving couples?! Not to mention, we consider ourselves extremely lucky to be able to spend our weekends hosting your wedding reception and playing music for you and your guests. This weekend was a great reminder of why we do what we do! The one and only Brad Ford sent over his recaps for two of his weddings from last weekend. I must say, there are some special moments that made me tear up! There may have even been a country music star spotting! Enjoy today's entries sharing details from Rebecca and Burton and Charl and Kenzie's weddings!

Nashville DJ Diaries | Michelle + Lance

The first of spring also brings the swing of our 2015 wedding season! We are so thankful and excited to be able to share an entry in DJ Diaries with you each week. Brad Ford, one of our most requested and well-versed DJs, has been so kind to share his experience from Michelle and Lane's March Mint Springs Farm wedding!

Brad, Lance, and Michelle.

Brad, Lance, and Michelle.

1. Tell us a little about the couple and their wishes for their wedding day: Lance and Michelle were wonderful.  Through a lot of conversations about colleges we learned that an old college friend of mine and he actually roomed together at one time.  Very small world.  Lance is from Athens Ohio and went to OSU so we had our love for Buckeye football in common.  Lance and Michelle wanted everyone to have a good time.  They were very aware of their families and friends and chose music that they thought would benefit everybody there.  They were so laid back and just grateful to be there.

2. What were some of the special moments that made this wedding  unique? Michelle's grandparents were ill and could not make the wedding.  They had secretly planned on dedicating a song for her and Lance.  Because they weren't there, at the last minute they had a musician friend agree to play the song.  Everyone at Mint Springs Farm was scurrying to set up a Facetime situation on the big screen to surprise the couple.  Well technology failed all of us.  We couldn't get the signal to work.  So we called the musician and I put the microphone up to the phone.  He sang the song.  In a way, it became more personal even though we sat through an entire song being sung over a cell phone in a barn full of people.  But everyone was quiet and I know that the moment her grandparents tried to give to them was a success.  It was a very nice moment despite the technical problems.

3. What were some of the couple's music selections for the ceremony and reception? They loved the 90's songs.  We went with party anthems and few group dances.  "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars and "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas went over HUGE!  It was a long open dance, almost 3 hours. We started off slow and built up to the dance party and threw in a few slower songs to give the guests a mix.  By the time we were on the last hour, it was on fire.  We had a pretty full dance floor the whole time.

4. Any dance floor highlights? There were a couple nice moments.  As I mentioned the energy blew through the roof with "I Gotta Feeling" and "Uptown Funk".  We ended the night with "Hey Pretty Girl" by Kip Moore which I chose for them.  Everyone stayed on the floor and slow danced it out.  It was a very nice ending moment.

This is a wedding where I felt like I was playing music for friends.  I can't stress how much this didn't seem like a job.  It was a great moment.  Our new tech Lauren Domzalski worked her first event for me and she was great.

Many corporate clients reach out to us to provide one of our photo booths to add that fun factor to their party, conference, or event.

Southern weddings are defined by a beautifully rustic barn.  Middle Tennessee wedding professionals were introduced to the newest wedding and event barn at Saddle Woods Farm earlier this week. I must say, it was a stunning event for the big reveal.  Laurie Deanne Events brought her blush, ivory, and mint design to life with stunning florals from Branching Out Florists, vintage china from Classic Party Rental, and dramatic ceiling draping from Nashville Audio Visual. Snyder Entertainment provided the photo booth, DJ, wireless lighting in the bride and groom quarters, and an Instagram station.

Pamela and Justin couldn't have asked for a more beautiful weekend after the last few weeks of ice, cold, and snow. Brian and J Clark provided the entertainment for this southern affair and shared a few highlights from the night on today's DJ Diaries!

Our team had the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the business and spend quality time with industry leaders.  There are so many reasons why continuing education is vital for the success of any company.  Ultimately, we need to be aware of our strengths and opportunities and how they play into our businesses.  Additionally, we need to be on the front end of the latest solutions available to our clients and how they can enhance corporate and private events.
