The process of selecting vendors for a wedding or another event typically goes like this:

  • You do a broad search on Google, and click through several options on the first page or two

  • You feel overwhelmed with your options, so you sift through pages of reviews to see who stands out. You ask friends and family for their recommendations.

  • You gather a list of potential vendors, and go through the initial contact steps for each of them.

  • You get pricing, and set up some sort of call with each company.

  • You ask the same list of questions to each one, trying to determine if one seems better than the others, while also fitting within your budget.

Can we help streamline this a bit for you? The wedding planning process is exhausting. And when it comes to hiring a DJ, we know that we may be one of the final vendors that you need to make a decision on. We believe that every event should be the greatest part that it could be, and in order to do that, each couple or client needs to set their expectations high for their entertainment. Today, we want to share some answers to some of the most common booking questions that we get asked. This is to help you find some of your answers about our company up-front, as well as giving us a chance to fully-describe our business principles and operating procedures.

• How long have you been in business?

Snyder Entertainment has been leading events and weddings since 2000, so we're very familiar with almost every single venue in Nashville, other local vendors, and industry professionals. We have been awarded the Wedding Wire Couples Choice Award every year, including 2020.

• Will you be the DJ at our wedding?

Chances are very good that the person you initially speak with on the phone won’t be the DJ at your wedding. However, our high standards for our team members ensure that you will be have a professional, quality entertainment experience, no matter who is there on your big day.

• Have you done events at my wedding venue?

Our team has been a part of thousands of weddings, so we're very familiar with almost every single venue in and around Nashville. (We also travel to surrounding areas such as Knoxville, Chattanooga, Memphis, Birmingham, Bowling Green, Louisville, and beyond.)

• What sets you apart from your competition?

Two things:

First, we believe in quality over quantity. You won’t find a rotating door of DJs here. It’s a tight-knit, small team, which means you get more investment from any teammate who may be assigned to your event. Our training is also consistent across all team members, which makes it easier for us to communicate what you can expect on the day of your event!

Additionally, we pride ourselves on providing a ‘white glove treatment’ to all events that we are apart of. You won’t find loose cords strewn across the ground, or a DJ with a wrinkled shirt. • Are there any other services that you provide, such as lighting design or a photo booth?

  2. Photo Booths | The Nashville Photo Booth is one of the hottest items in the event industry! The booth serves both as gift for your guest and as a scrapbook of memories for you. Our print booths print out TWO high quality digital prints on the spot…we will give one to your guests as they exit the booth and we will keep the second print so they can write in your very own scrapbook. Or, make your photo booth experience interactive with a social booth! Social booths text or email photos, GIFs, and Boomerangs to your guests’ phones, so they can immediately upload and tag you on all the socials!

• Can you provide me with recent couples that I can contact for references?

For the privacy of our clients, we do not give out their personal information. However, we encourage all prospective clients to read about past weddings and events through our blog series titled "Nashville DJ Diaries," and also through reading our ratings and reviews on our WeddingWire reviews page.

• Do you have any videos from a prior wedding?

Yes! Our Instagram account has several dance floor video clips scattered throughout our feed. We refer prospective couples to these videos all of the time to give them an idea of what dance floor lighting looks like, how songs are mixed together, how crowds respond to our DJs, etc!

• Can you assist me in choosing the music for my processional, recessional, father-daughter dance, etc.?

Once you book with us, you will receive an email with the log-in information for your online planning portal, provided free of charge to all of our clients. Inside the portal you'll find thousands of songs to choose from and a recommendation library to help you select songs. We've gone a step further to break down our recommendations by genre, decade, artist, and even by moments. It's incredibly user friendly and makes selecting your music easier than ever before!

• How extensive is your music library or song list? What genres can you cover?

Our music library contains hundreds of thousands of songs, and it's very rare that we don't have a song that a client requests. But that happens and when it does, we will acquire the song at no additional cost to you.

• Do you act as the "emcee" and make all of the announcements?

Our team members are all professionally trained emcee's and they will review your timeline, pronunciation of names, and details prior to your wedding day with you to ensure everything is correct. We will make as many or as few announcements as you prefer.

• Can we submit a "Do Not Play" list?

Absolutely! Included in the online planning portal is a ‘do not play’ section. If you have a song you do not want to hear at your wedding, we are happy to accommodate that! We also have a ‘play only on request’ section. So, if you have a song you don’t want to make a priority, but you won’t be mad if your cousin really wants to hear it, the planning portal helps make that clear to your DJ!
