This was a really cool experience for me in particular. The first time I met Leanne, we were discussing music and going over what she was looking for specifically for her wedding, when we started just talking casually. I mentioned that I was originally from Franklin, TN and as it turns out, that is where her fiancé is originally from as well. In fact we realized that her fiancé is actually a classmate that I graduated with in high school. That’s one of the best parts about this job, I meet and reconnect with people that I haven’t seen in so long! And to top it off, I get to be a part of one of the most important days in their lives.

After yet another gorgeous afternoon ceremony at Mint Springs Farm, the entire wedding party was introduced to "Uptown Funk" by Bruno Mars. After introductions Ben + Leanne shared their first dance as Husband and Wife to "At Last" by Etta James. After dinner and following directly after toasts, and as requested by Ben + Leanne, J Clark brought them to the center of the dance floor to start the wedding shoe game. Some of the more rousing questions were "Who was the first one to make a move at the beginning of the relationship?" "Who will end up doing the most housework?" and "Who wears the pants in the relationship"...and then we ended it with the heartfelt question of "Who is your soulmate?" After some good laughs, it was time to officially open the dance floor! Guests enjoyed dancing to songs like "Can't Stop the Feeling" by Justin Timberlake and "Tennessee Whiskey" by Chris Stapleton, both pulled directly from the Bride + Groom's 'Must Play' list. Aside from the crowded dance floor, guests also enjoyed taking photos in the Snyder Entertainment provided open-air photo booth, complete with a custom designed template! This was a really fun celebration and we're so glad that we were able to be a part of it! Congratulations, Leanne + Ben! Cheers to your happily after ever together!

Marissa + Zach

Saturday | 4.15.17 | Front Porch Farms

DJ/Emcee, Brad Ford

The sky, wind, clouds, and temperature were incredible for the whole wedding day. Front Porch Farms sits on top of a huge hill and the sunset was just incredible. So other than the amazing spring weather, some stand out moments for our team were Marissa + Zach's first dance, which Brad had a little fun with. They started with Tennessee Whiskey then Brad backspun into Beast of Burden by the Rolling Stones. Marissa + Zach invited everyone to join in for the last part of the mashup, so we had a full dance floor before dinner had even started. The Father/Daughter dance was also an incredibly special moment. Marissa’s dad, John, is from Texas, so he's naturally a big fan of all the guitar greats like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and because of his Texas roots, Stevie Ray Vaughn. So for the “sweet” Father/Daughter dance, they chose the song Pride and Joy, which was fast and amazingly fun. John was a dancer when he was younger, so their dance together was absolutely flawless! It was so much fun that everybody was cheering them on. This dance floor was fun with a big focus on Top 40 hits, 90’s anthems, and absolute pop from all generations. Of course we played Bruno Mars and Justin Timberlake, but there was plenty of Backstreet Boys mixed with One Direction with sharp left for the hip hop song, Booty Wurk

When we received a phone call from Marissa Marshall, I knew that I had to DJ her wedding! Marissa is the sister of Rae Marshall who has shot all the Snyder Entertainment’s pictures over the past two years, and I was also the DJ/MC for Rae’s wedding. So being a part of this wedding was like being with family and old friends, and I actually felt like I was a part of their celebration. Great times!
