Nashville DJ Diaries | From High School Sweethearts to Husband and Wife

This couple began as high school sweethearts and their relationship is made up of two imperfect people who love each other perfectly. When I asked Sean what's been the best part of their engagement thus far, he told me, "Every single day that I come home to Alli. She makes my life so much better in every way- truly the love of my life." In all of the excitement leading up to to their wedding day, there is so much to look forward to. But amidst all of the busy, last items and things to check off of the to-do list, they both only had one thing on their minds: promising forever. Alli said that she was most excited to walk down the isle to meet Sean, say "I do!" and she was really looking forward to seeing Sean's face at that moment. Sean said "just knowing that I will spend the rest of my life with someone as amazing as Alli".. (I know, I'm still crying). Their love story added a new chapter as these two different individuals became one union as Husband + Wife.

Highlights:

This day began on a wild note and we wouldn't have it any other way.. A first for Mint Springs Farm, as the Groomsmen decided to jump in the lake. It was an exciting, hilarious, oh-my-gosh, did they really moment and one we will always remember! And a moment I'm sure Alli and Sean will always remember as well. However, we do know that Sean will never forget seeing his beautiful Bride, Allison, come down the aisle to meet him. After this couple said I Do, their guests headed to the cocktail hour, while they took more photos and got their first look at the reception barn. When it was time for the reception to begin Alli and Sean ,along with their Bridal party, made their grand entrances to the Chicago Bulls theme song; bringing a lot of high energy to get the night started! This sweet Newlywed couple danced to "Better Together" by Jack Johnson for the first dance. Next, Allison and the Father-of-the-Bride shared their special dance to "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw, while Sean and his Mom chose "Precious Memories" by Waylon Jennings.  As for other song choices, they chose "Sugar" by Maroon 5 for the cake cutting which was perfectly fitting for such a 'sweet' moment! For the bouquet toss, Allison chose "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen, while Sean chose "Hot for Teacher" by Van Halen for the garter toss. For entertainment, Alli and Sean decided on a fusion of our DJ/MC services with a live band. This is a trend that is becoming more and more popular; Brad on our team has done several this year and has more to come this fall. The fusion involves the DJ playing songs for the special dances such as the introduction, first dance, father/daughter, mother/son, cake cutting, bouquet and garter toss, etc. They DJ is also responsible for MC duties such as announcements, timeline for toasts and special dances, and much more. The band typically does one long or two short sets and the DJ plays multiple sets in between. It's such a great option for the couple that just can't choose between having a DJ/MC or a band.  The love that radiates between Alli and Sean is undeniable and unwavering, which made this was such a fun and romantic wedding from the beginning. We're so glad that we were able to be a part of their celebration of marriage. Congratulations again, Alli + Sean!!

"what do you love about each other?"

I always try to get to know our clients as best as I can; whether that's by multiple meetings, having coffee together, phone conversations, emails, and even by our blog questionnaires. It allows me to better tell about their love-story, all the while allowing them to think about, in the midst of busy planning, why they wanted to get married in the first place. So, I asked Alli and Sean separately what they loved about one another.. And here are their truthful, sweet responses:

What Alli loves about Sean: His honesty - even though I may disagree in the moment, all the while he allows me to be myself. Sean supports me no matter what, he's always pushing me to achieve my goals and celebrating me when I do! He encourages/pushes me to break out of my shell - making me more adventurous, even when I'm resistant. Sean's drive/passion to help others- he's a great friend, son, significant other, etc. His love/loyalty. He never gives up when things get tough, even through all of our ups and down.

What Sean loves about Alli: Her heart - Alli has the kindest heart of anyone I've ever met. She's so caring. Alli constantly shows people how much she cares about them. Her smile because it lights up the room and my heart every time. I love her sense of humor. Alli not only teaches first grade she also has a little kids sense of humor! Her nature and I know that Alli is going to make an amazing mother. I just love every single part of her.

... And I don't even know how to follow that. All I can say is that we're so happy for Alli and Sean, and we know that their new lives together as Mr. & Mrs. are going to be full of love, laughter, and a very happily ever after! Cheers!
