Nashville DJ Diaries | Green Door Gourmet Soirée

A classically cool couple with a very indie meets romantic wedding ceremony and reception at the beautiful Green Door Gourmet made for a simply stylish wedding day for Becky + Alex. When you mix an open air ceremony, delish food truck catering, the hit song 24k Magic by Bruno Mars, an energetic crowd, and two people who cant wait to get married then you're guaranteed to have a Space Jam style slam dunk wedding. From beginning to end, this one is one of our favorites to wrap up October weddings. Incredible photos by John Yates at Celladora compliment this blog more than we can with words. Warning: you will feel wedding envy while reading about this one.

A 4:30 ceremony, surrounded by family and friends, created a magical sunset ceremony as Becky and Alex vowed to love one another forever. Following their ceremony, guests were ushered into the cocktail hour until it was time for the reception to begin. These Newlyweds requested a high energy grand entrance, coming into the reception to the song 24k Magic by Bruno Mars. I mean does Bruno Mars scream high energy or what?!  Following their introductions, Becky and Alex went into their first dance as husband + wife, dancing to Beatrice by Sam Rivers. #Swoon

The rest of their playlist included What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong for the father/daughter dance, and songs by artists such as Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake and Walk The Moon to name a few. This couple included really cool touches to their wedding day; for example, their caterer was a food truck and a really good one at that. I know I've used this adjective a few times already in describing this wedding, but I cant think of another more fitting word: cool. The dance floor stayed packed all night, and we loved watching the guests show off their best moves. All in all, a very fun and hip celebration for these two and we're so glad that we were able to be a part of it. Their photographer, John Yates, summed it up perfectly saying:

Everyone that Becky and Alex chose to surround themselves with on their wedding day totally made the experience so filled with joy. Everyone was present and in the moment throughout all parts of the day. There were so many moments of genuine smiles and laughter. There are more photos of them and their guests dancing and having a great time at the reception than I deliver for some entire weddings! I felt so welcome and part of the day (there might be a photo of me in this post) and had an absolutely incredible time. 😎

Congratulations again Becky + Alex.. Cheers to you both!
