Rock your Resolutions in 2019 with this Playlist

We are well into 2019 now, which means our resolutions are feeling harder to keep. Isn’t it funny how ambitious we can be when we’re in the midst of the holidays, and work responsibilities feel a million years away? Then the daily grind kicks back in, and that daily gym visit you thought you were going to make feels more like a joke than a resolution.

We’re right there with you, and we want 2019 to be the year where you can be the best YOU possible. So, we did what we do best: made a great mix.

Our leader and DJ extraordinaire, Bradley Ford, recorded a live mix that’s exactly what you need to pump you up mid-week at the gym. It starts with a series of high-tempo songs that will pump you up, followed by songs that you can cool down and stretch to near the end. (Side note: he did this on the fly. If his off-the-cuff work is this good, imagine what he can do with a little planning!)

Maybe your resolution isn’t to work out, but you need some high-energy tunes to keep you focused on a different set of goals. Whatever your pursuits are for 2019, we hope this mix helps!

Connect with us on Facebook or Instagram and let us know what you like about the mix, and what goals you’re going to crush this year while listening to it!

Chat with us here to talk about what event goals we can help you with this year!

Nashville DJ Diaries | Ringing in the New Year at The BAP

Well, 2018 is officially in the books. It was a wild ride for us here at Snyder, and we are so thrilled for all that we have accomplished this past year.

To close out such a fantastic chapter in our company, we did what we do best: we partied hard.

The BAP is our annual New Year’s Eve celebration that is hosted in collaboration with some of our favorite people here in Nolensville, TN. We held the party at Mint Springs Farm, as we have done many times before, because they are always so good to us.

The BAP once was just a small gathering of friends, but it has since grown into the best party in town, and we love that we still have the opportunity to help host. Today, we wanted to share the good time with all of you. Scroll to see some of the great times that were had.

At this year’s BAP, there were many elements that took this party to a level it has never been to before! We were thrilled to provide so many things for our favorite event.

-Lighting (and you can see from the photos that there was a variety of lighting styles!)

-DJ services provided by Bradley Ford

-Social Roaming Booths

-A Step and Repeat Photo Drop

-Confetti Canons/Streamers

…and so much more!

It’s such a great feeling to be able to offer so many services to many of you throughout the year, and then to be able to turn around and share our talents with our own community to say goodbye to the year. It only feels appropriate that we ended our year this way, and we’re thrilled to share a little slice of our evening with you!

Brad’s set list from the night is up on Mixcloud; check it out and let it transport you back to New Year’s Eve. Click below to listen.

We wish you all a very happy new year, and we hope to be a part of your story in 2019. Reach out to us today to plan your next epic event!

Elevate your Events in 2019: Snyder Social Roaming Booths

Behind The Turntable-3.png

If you’ve been to an event with a Social Roaming Booth, you won’t need us to pitch them to you. You already know what a statement they make. However, if you’ve never seen a Social Roaming Photo Booth in action, you may be wondering what the heck this post is even talking about.

Before you take the time to Google it, allow us to show you a few pictures of ours in action:

Social-2.png

As you can see, Social Roaming Booths don’t look like any photo ‘booth’ you’ve seen before. They’re slim. lightweight, and completely mobile…but they pack a lot of punch when it comes to engaging party guests! We have some on-hand here at Snyder, and we never get anything but rave reviews when we provide them for events. Today, we wanted to let you all in on three reasons why these photo booths are the thing you should have at your event in 2019.

1.) The photo booth experience is brought to your guests, instead of the other way around.

Let’s take a second to unpack why that’s so invaluable. First of all, it completely eliminates lines and clutter at your event. Guests don’t have to find a lull in the action to decide to go stand in line to get some photos and document their attendance, and you don’t have to worry about planning to accommodate space for the physical booth AND the people who will be waiting to use it. Second, no one has to leave the party. Photos can be taken on the dance floor, at the bar, at cocktail hour, etc. etc. You can capture the fun your guests are having at any moment of the party, and you don’t need to herd them to one corner of the room to do it. More candid photo ops encourage people to be a little less stiff and in turn may get you some really fun pictures!

2.) You can cover more ground of your party.

Snyder Social Booths are the perfect thing to add to an event that will already have a stand-alone photo booth! Guests love posing for photos, and you will get more people to jump into a quick photo when the camera is right there on the dance floor with them. This allows you to capture more moments of more of your guests, leaving everyone in attendance with some fun memories of the evening.

3.) Your guests will engage more, because these booths DO more.

The “Social” in the booth’s name is there for a reason: the photos taken with these booths are uploaded and sent to guests instantly via text or email. This allows your attendees to post them right away, giving others a live-action look at your party! The amazing shots of your friends won’t simply be on prints for them to see…they can share them with the world, advertising what an incredible party-planner you are.

And that’s not all: these tech-packed options can create gifs, Boomerangs, add in virtual props, Green Screen backgrounds, and so much more…without any bulk or additional prep on your end! Your guests will love having so many options to customize the photos they are taking, all without even stepping foot off of the dance floor!

Social Booths are the future, and Snyder is here to help you navigate your way there. If your 2019 resolution is to create even more memorable moments at your events than you did in 2018, then we are your people and we want to meet you. Make plans to chat with us today!

We wish you all a fantastic New Year! We can’t wait to see what 2019 brings us!

Happy Holidays from Snyder Entertainment!

48376904_2548223855217762_8875733063179436032_o.jpg

Christmas is exactly five days away. Does that send a wave of panic through anyone else? With all of the hustle and bustle we’ve been navigating through this season (see last week’s post to read about EXACTLY how busy we’ve been), we all took some time to enjoy each other’s company last weekend at our Snyder Entertainment Christmas Party.

We feasted on some delicious pizza, at one of our favorite placed here in Nashville: Mafiaoza’s. Mafiaoza’s is a special place to us here at Snyder. In fact, our guy Bradley Ford served as DJ at their Christmas Party not too long ago. We’re big fans, and if you’re a Nashville Local, you have to try them!

Getting together as one, big group is something we rarely have the chance to do. it gave us the opportunity to reflect on this year and the many, MANY changes our company has undergone in just a short time. It also gave us a little bit of time to discuss the ways we can work in 2019 to improve upon the good thing we already have going. We want to provide more awesome entertainment services to even MORE of you! We can’t wait to see what 2019 holds for us, and we hope you will choose to be part of our journey.

We will be slowing things down a little bit over here for a couple of days to enjoy our families, and we hope the same for all of you! But, as you ease back into real life after the holidays, we are here to assist you with any event planning that you don’t want to shoulder alone. If you want to limit the number of vendors you may need, don’t forget to see all of the things that Snyder can do to help you out. We want to party with you, so be sure to reach out and get to know us!

We wish you all Happy Holidays and a fantastic New Year. As a little bonus present to you, you can listen to Brad’s set at the Mafiaoza’s party a couple weekends ago by clicking below:

Nashville DJ Diaries | Dell Holiday Party

Behind The Turntable-2.png

Alright, y’all. Our December has. been. BUSY. In fact, if you want to talk numbers: Brad shared on Facebook earlier this week that we have logged 27 events in 2 weeks! When the schedule gets crazy, we are extra grateful over here that we can offer our clients so many things. A great example of this was Dell’s annual Holiday party, which was just this past weekend! When we began planning this year’s event with Dell, it was great to be able to check off so many of their boxes at once. We love providing one-stop-shopping for our client’s events. Anything we can do to alleviate some of your party planning headache is a win in our book.

So, although we have so much on our plates this month, we wanted to take a quick pause to share photos from Dell’s Holiday party with you all and highlight the many things we were able to provide in order to give their guests the best (and most fun) experience possible. Scroll to see some of our party pics:

-3 Social Booths and Roamers

-Lots and lots of Gorgeous Lighting

-Great music (of course) through a Video DJ

We would love to party with you next! With all of the details that must be organized to plan a successful event, why run around to dozens of different vendors if you don’t have to? Winter is Coming: What to Consider when Planning Indoor Events

indoor events.png

December is in full swing, which means chillier temps are here. While the cold weather is a nice change of pace after a long, hot summer, it add some extra snags in event-planning when everything needs to be inside. But, the holidays are one of the most popular party planning times of the year! So, how do you pull off a great event when you can’t utilize the outdoors? Today we have a few tips that should help!

thumbnail_large.jpg
  1. Start with the essentials.

What will you absolutely need to make your event a success? It’s winter, so you will likely need somewhere for guest’s coats to be stored. Do you need a dance floor? Space for mingling? A bar? Buffet tables?

Map out all of the things you will absolutely need and look at the space you will still have to work with. You can make sure the furniture fits with enough space to move between, and see what else you could work in. Is there room for a full photo booth?

  2. Walk through your venue as a guest.

After you have things set up, take a quick walk-through of your party as if you were attending. Enter the front doors of your venue and walk through all of the steps you anticipate your guests taking, but imagine the room already full of people. Is it clear where guests can put their coats or purses? Are restrooms accessible and easy to see? Is there space for a line to form near the bar area or food tables without clogging up much-needed space. Walk yourself through the evening of a typical party-goer to make sure there aren’t any needs you haven’t taken care of.

You can also take this time to walk through the event with a fresh set of eyes on the way the room looks. Outdoor events are so forgiving when it comes to decor: you have so many natural elements that can make even the simplest venue pretty. When everything is inside a room with bare, white walls, you will want to take a step back after all of the work is done to make sure you don’t have any parts of the room that seem over-looked.

  3. Want to personalize? Stay off the floor.

If you feel limited by the space you are in, think of ways to add decor and personal touches in ways that won’t add bulk to the room or take up the floor plan. For example, if you have limited space to work with already, this is not the event to add a massive photo booth. A social roaming booth may be optimal for your needs.

Personalized napkins, tabletop decor, monogrammed lighting, projectors, wall decor…thinking that decor should go up and above where your guests need to be standing and moving around adds layers of interest to a room and frees up space to move around.

Also, cozy lighting can make a room feel warmer and more intimate without adding much bulk to the room at all. We recently posted about how important quality lighting is, and how much it can do for a room!

As you plan your events this winter, use these tips to pull your parties off without a hitch! Your guests will thank you, and you’ll be able to hear them, because you’ll be enjoying your evening instead of running around putting out logistical fires! ;)

What Great Lighting Can do for Your Holiday Event

The subjects of music and the role of a strong DJ get a lot of air time around here, for good reason. Providing you with great music for your event is the heart and soul of what we do. But we aren’t just a team of DJs here. We plan and execute events that will make all of your dreams come true, and there is lot more that goes into a party like that than simply music! We believe that the way your room looks is just as important.

With December rapidly approaching, holiday parties are around every corner. If you’re anything like us, your calendar is filling up by the day. You may even be planning to host a party or two yourself! We wanted to give you a little party planning pro-tip: don’t forget lighting.

2.png

Lighting sets the mood for what type of event you want it to be: the ways the lights look will invoke a feeling in each of your guests. They may walk into your event and feel invited to get up and mingle or dance. They may walk in and see a more intimate setting with dimmed lighting, and feel that they should be find a place to get comfortable. Whatever event you have dreamed up in your head, the lighting is what will make that clear to your guests before anything else.

Lighting can also personalize your event. For corporate events, projecting your logo on the wall or dance floor can add that personal flair to the room. Maybe you have colors you want to incorporate (some red and green, maybe?). Whatever will make the room look like you were the person or company behind the planning can be accomplished with lighting!

Finally, lighting highlights the important things you want to showcase, which takes a blank canvas of a room and turns it into something more interesting and complete. A room can feel more full by placing uplighting around decor. This way, even if every square inch isn’t decorated, you can give your guests the feeling of being in a very complete, thoughtfully-designed room simply by highlighting a few pieces. But better than that, you can show off the pieces of your event that you think are the most important and you don’t want anyone to miss!

So, as you pull together your parties in the next few weeks, don’t forget to pay attention to your lighting! It can be the thing that really elevates your event and makes it a night to remember for everyone this holiday season.

We have a page on our website all about our lighting design services, with even more photos than you see here (and a video!). Take a look at what we can do, and contact us if you have any lighting needs that we can take care of!

What is Team Snyder Thankful For?

Whitney Cadavid for Snyder Entertainment

Whitney Cadavid for Snyder Entertainment

With Thanksgiving only a few days away, we thought it was only appropriate to be a little reflective and think about we are thankful for here at Snyder Entertainment. There is no better person to speak for the heart of our company than our fearless leader, Bradley Ford.

We got Brad to write out this thoughts about what Snyder has accomplished this year, and what he is thankful for. He perfectly captured the way we all feel. Keep scrolling to read his answers!

What are you thankful for this year when you think about Snyder?

I have a lot to be thankful for this year.  Snyder Entertainment has been a huge part of my life for 5 and a half years.  It started out for me to be a way to earn extra money.  And very quickly went from extra money to full time money to a career all the way to being a business owner in just 5 years.  It has become a center in my life of friendships and family.  A sense of pride for me.  Even before I actually owned the business I always felt a sense of ownership in it.  I’m thankful because I get to entertain and be with people on some of the happiest days of their lives and because of that I get to support my family doing something I love.  I’m thankful that people all over world have something to celebrate and the fact that I’m busy means that there’s so much good out there.

What about the team are you thankful for?

I’m so thankful for the team we have in place.  This is the largest group of new blood we have ever had.  But we still have some tenured people on board.  We are all kind of figuring things out and I’m thankful that we don’t just have some club DJ’s pretending to be able to do the bigger events and weddings.  I strongly believe everyone one this team really cares about the clients and getting to know the clients….and ultimately wants to do an amazing job.  That’s so rare which is reason why we are a slow growing company.  It’s so hard to find entertainment talent that really wants to put in the time and make the relationship.  If it were easy we wouldn’t turn away 50 events a year because we are booked up.  There is something so unique about every single member and they are all so different from each other.  I love that.  I know that in moving forward these are the kind of guys I want to be surrounded by, representing my name and brand, and to just be friends with.  These guys make me happy so because I am so thankful to have them I want to do my best to push them and train them and help the fulfill any goals that they have in the future.

What experiences have you or the company had this year that have meant a lot to you?

Over the last couple of years we saw a big jump in corporate business.  This has been a goal of mine and I’m over the top thankful to those corporate planners who have started to put their trust in us.  It means more than I can say.  I LOVE being the guy that gets all the weird questions.  That means someone, somewhere thinks I can find a way to pull it off and that is exciting.  On the personal side of things I’m thankful for partners who year after year continue to ask us to be a part of their business.  I have always believed in a win-win relationship, and I always try to keep that goal in front of me.  We have done some big events this year like Snap On Tools, Bad Boy in Biloxi, Amway and all these events have really pushed us to be creative, sharp and results driven.  We have had to learn some things.  I had to buy confetti canons.  I mean don’t think I’m not thankful for that!

So there you have it folks. Brad said what we all were feeling: we’re thankful for each other and our team; we’re thankful for what we get to experience by working at different events, and we’re thankful for you all as our fabulous clients.

2018 isn’t over yet, but we’re already looking ahead to 2019 and what it will hold for us. We hope that you will choose to bring us into your future events and special occasions!

Have a Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Friendsgiving Songs to Make You Feel Warm and Fuzzy

friendsgiving.png

Ahhhh Friendsgiving. This new tradition has quickly climbed to the top of popular holiday lists everywhere. Thanksgiving is amazing in its own right, but it can cause some people to feel a little bit of dread. You want the awesome food, and you want to be with people you love, but you don’t want your uncle to ask you who you voted for and spark a political debate.

Friendsgiving is the best of both worlds. You get the yummy food, but you get to curate the guest list yourself. It’s a dream! (Not that family isn’t amazing…but you know what we mean.)

Untitled design-2.png

As this holiday has grown in popularity, it has become more of an annual event for many people, which can require more formal planning. Some people go so far as to treat their Friendsgiving as their main Thanksgiving! If nothing else, a meal with friends definitely requires the perfect playlist…and we’ve got you covered over here at Snyder Entertainment!

Whether this playlist serves as inspiration to get you started, or you just want to play and loop for the night, this mix of songs will put you in the mood to celebrate good food, a chill in the air, and (most importantly) good friendship.

So, who here is hosting a Friendsgiving this year? How can Snyder help you?
