Cinco de Mayo is my favorite holiday, I look forward to it every single year. Maybe it's because I love traditional Mexican food, maybe it's because my favorite food is queso, maybe it's because my favorite dogs are chihuahuas, or maybe it's because I love margaritas? Who knows, who cares. What I do care about is that our good friends at Nashville Guru have compiled a list for all of us who love to celebrate this wonderful Hispanic holiday with bottomless tortilla chips + tequila. Here are some of the best local spots for you to party the fifth of May away with piñatas...
Cinco de Mayo at Saint Anejo/ Thursday, May 5th – 4:00pm til late
Saint Anejo and The Rosewall will be open beginning at 4:00pm on Thursday, May 5th to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a street party. There will be street food, cocktails, and celebration. Best of all, it’s FREE! Head to M Street for some Cinco de Mayo fun.
Mas Tacos Por Favor/ Thursday, May 5th – 11:00am til 8:00pm
Mas Tacos Por Favor is hands down one of the best Mexican food in town. They always celebrate Cinco de Mayo with music and food specials. Stop by between 11:00am and 8:00pm for lunch or dinner. The food truck will be there, too!
Chago’s Cantina/ Thursday, May 5th – 11:00am til Midnight
Chago’s Cantina on Belmont Blvd will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo all day with fantastic drink specials. Specials will include $7 Jumbo Margaritas, $4 Pacifico & Dos Equis Drafts, and $25 Margarita Pitchers. Make sure you stop by for lunch or dinner because their food is amazing!
Cinco de Bye-O/ Thursday, May 5th
The beloved Corner Pub midtown will close their doors after one last bash, which they’ve nicknamed Cinco de Bye-O! Join them on Thursday, May 5th as they say goodbye to the Midtown location and clean out their liquor supply. There will be a ton of drink specials since all of the booze has to go, and live music! Patrón on the Patio at Loews Vanderbilt Private Patio/ Thursday, May 5th – 4:00pm to 7:00pm
Patrón on the Patio will be on Thursday, May 5th from 4:00pm til 7:00pm on a private patio at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel. There will be a live mariachi band, a $10 all-you-can-eat nacho bar, and drink specials. Drink specials will be on craft Patrón Tequila margaritas, Corona, and Corona Light.
M.L. Rose (Melrose & West)/ Thursday, May 5th – 3:00pm til close
M.L. Rose isn’t a Mexican restaurant but they still want to provide some Cinco de Mayo inspired fun! They will be having killer drink specials at both locations from 3:00pm til close. Specials include $1.50 Dos Perros drafts, $5 house margaritas on the rocks, and $8 Casamigos tequila shots. There will also be giveaways all night.
The Sutler/ Thursday, May 5th – 3:00pm til close
The Sutler hosts a 90’s night in the cellar every Thursday at 9:00pm so there’s already a built-in party for Cinco de Mayo. They will also offer $1.50 Dos Perros drafts, $5 margaritas on the rocks, and $8 Casamigos tequila shots from 3:00pm til close. Live music in the saloon (upstairs) starts at 6:00pm.
